When Helen Keller was two years old in 1882, she fell ill and was struck blind, deaf, and mute. But against the odds and with the help of her teacher Anne Sullivan, she learned to communicate extraordinarily well. Helen went on to have a huge impact on the world, graduating from college in 1904 and later helping to found the ACLU.
