Outdoor Alphabet Loop

Materials Needed

Your backyard, a park, or another safe, outdoors area. Paper and pencil or pen

Directions

Take a trip around your neighborhood to find items outdoors that begin with each letter of the alphabet.

Activity description: Go on an alphabetical scavenger hunt outside with your child. Find or spot an item for each letter of the alphabet. Large objects that your child can only see and not pick up are fine. If you can't find certain letters, go on short walks or trips to keep looking. Have your child write each letter of the alphabet down, and together you can write the corresponding object that you've found.

Examples:

A - acorn
B - bird
C - cat
D - driveway
