Margaret Wise Brown

Margaret Wise Brown lived from May 23, 1910 to November 13, 1952.  She died unexpectedly at the age of 42, and although she has been dead for nearly 60 years many of her books remain in print.  During her life Margaret worked as a teacher and studied art.  It was while she was working as a teacher that she began writing children’s books.  Margaret’s most popular and recognizable book is Goodnight Moon.  To this day many of her books are some of the most popular in the world.
