Color Books

As soon as a baby is born it begins making observations and learning about the world around them.  Research has shown that the young child’s mind is primed for learning and forming habits.  Even the youngest of children can benefit from daily reading.  If our goal is to foster a love of learning and reading in our children then we can begin forming these good habits from the moment a baby is born.  Luckily there is a wide variety of books available to read to these little ones as they are just beginning to learn.
 
Color books are a fabulous place to start.  When looking for books for babies and toddlers, books should contain minimal text and fabulous pictures.  Most color books for babies match these characteristics perfectly.  These books are interactive and informative.  And as your baby enters toddlerhood they will enjoy books that teach colors with their favorite characters!  What 2 year old wouldn’t love to learn all about colors from Mickey Mouse?   Before you know it your child will be recognizing different colors and able to point out different colored objects on every page.
